As a Get Further Tutor, you will have a direct impact on the life chances of students – helping them to improve their skills and achieve key qualifications that open doors for future study and work.
What are you going to do:
We are the only non-profit tutoring organisation working exclusively with further education – specifically with colleges, sixth forms and independent learning providers. We focus our efforts here because 70% of students studying GCSE English and maths in further education are from disadvantaged backgrounds, and further education colleges are severely under-funded.
What we offer:
· £18 an hour and the flexibility to study or work in other roles, alongside tutoring. Placements typically range between 1-20 hours per week (on average, our tutors last year delivered 7-hrs per week).
· Get Further provides you with all the resources for delivering sessions to your students – so you don’t have to spend extra time planning sessions.
· We’ll provide you with expert training in engaging your students, and tutor with impact - allowing you to develop transferable skills for your career.
· You’ll gain a unique insight into tackling educational inequality while making an immediate difference.
