Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
 

Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers. We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world.

Job Profile

 

The Mobile Product Manager is responsible for the strategic direction of the Mobile Solutions offering within CTO End User Services and Telecoms.  

The jobholder will be responsible for the definition of the product set and solutions roadmap across Collaboration and Telecommunication services, as well as supporting the Engineering teams in the delivery of high-quality products to end users across all countries and regions where HSBC operates. The ideal candidate will be able to:

 

  • Be forward thinking, defining ways to adopt the latest technologies and innovations
  • Integrate into a team that performs sustainable continuous improvement, identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned
  • Maintain an agile mind-set by adopting the practices and processes identified as being required for our new pods, leveraging agile delivery methods, associated frameworks (e.g., Lean) and Bank tools (e.g., JIRA) to do this
  • Understand and follow the CTO strategy and vision and the Product Management direction.
  • Showcase and demonstrate new products, in conjunction with the End User Services and Telecoms Services leadership teams
  • Own and maintain the Enterprise Mobile roadmap, in collaboration with each individual product area.
  • Be responsible for developing new products and services to meet business deliverables in a regulated context. Driving project teams to deliver on commitments to support customer requirements

 

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team, focusing on automation, process improvement, how technology is best leveraged and technology shift opportunities
  • Build and Manage relationships with senior stakeholders within IT and the business.
  • Have a strong customer focus, with the ability to turn business challenges into requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in large multinational companies (preferably in the Financial Industry)
  • Experience of working as part of an Operations OR agile team is a plus
  • Interpersonal skills – demonstrate good judgement and an excellent level of written communication. Ability to communicate complex ideas simply, using presentations and other comms artefacts.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues concisely
  • Knowledge of technical components of the the Mobile space including: Device Management (MDM), Managed Applications (MAM), Intune, BlackBerry, BB UEM, Mobile Voice Recording solutions, & Carrier Management.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Application deployment mechanisms, App containers, and definition of security policies and controls.
  • Experience in Cloud Migration projects is desired (preferably M365)
  • Experience working with Regulators, Compliance functions, and legal teams is desired
  • Knowledge and experience of using agile delivery methods and tools to implement both tactical and strategic changes is desired.
  • Commercially astute, ability to balance and assess risk vs. reward, maximising cost effectiveness and profitability for functions and/or business lines
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all the globe.
  • Good leadership skills.
