About the role

As Data Visualisation Manager, you will be working in the Reporting and Visualisation function, leading a small team collaborating across all levels of the Pet Care Analytics Group to manage the demand for Reports and Visualisation.

You will engage with key business partners and our internal product owners to plan and manage the team’s activities. You will make sure we have the right people, skills, and tools to deliver on our priorities.

We’re transitioning to Tableau across the Group and so you will lead this change across the team and wider business.

We can offer hybrid working from either of our support offices based in Handforth (Cheshire) or Swindon.

About you

You’ll have a blend of technical proficiency and people management experience.

Ideally your technical background would encompass experience of building Tableau reports and data visualisations, maintaining and administering a Tableau environment as well excellent stakeholder management.

You’ll also have a background of shaping and managing a reporting environment, BI Team and their delivery of ‘best in class’ reports and visualisations.

Further key experience includes;

  • A good level of knowledge and understanding of data warehouse design and best practices
  • Proven experience to see and know what “good” looks like when it comes to people, processes and technology within BI services
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of managing BI platforms and tools (specifically Tableau and GCP Big Query, although other relevant experience considered e.g. Business Objects, Looker, Qlik, Thoughtspot, PowerBI, Redshift, Snowflake, SSIS)
  • Advanced level of knowledge and understanding of coding syntax and query languages e.g. SQL
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.), big-data design and toolset & software engineering principles is desirable
