What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a learning disability who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders and an autistic spectrum condition. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

You will have access to the Elysium Wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage or group activities. Who doesn’t like a free massage at work?

The service operates 24/7. Standard shifts are 12.5 hours a day, on a 0 hour contract, so you can pick and choose when you work.

Where you will be working

You will be working at Cefn Carnau, a Low Secure/ Rehabilitation service for adults with a diagnosis of a learning disability who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders and an autistic spectrum condition.


Our Treatment programmes aim to reduce the presenting mental health issues and offending behaviours in a Low Secure/ Rehabilitation setting where risk can be managed and reduced in order to allow patients to step down into less restrictive environments.
