Our company operates a hybrid estate of Windows and Mac systems, utilizing Microsoft 365 as our core productivity suite. In addition to supporting our Support Office colleagues, we also provide IT support to our Retail Stores, Vets Practices, Groom Rooms, and Distribution Centres, catering to their unique technology requirements. Our goal is to enhance the colleague experience by equipping them with the best IT solutions to excel in their roles. To achieve this ambition, we are seeking a highly skilled End User Computing Manager to join our team.

 

Role Overview:

As the End User Computing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our colleagues have the necessary workspace tools to perform their jobs efficiently. You will play a crucial role in influencing technology choices, procurement strategies, and driving their successful implementation across the business. Reporting to the Head of IT Service Desk, you will lead a team of eight talented and experienced support engineers. Together with the broader Tech leadership team, you will collaborate to drive change and modernization through the Workspace. This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership group and make a significant impact.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent technical leadership for Workspace solutions and services supporting end users.
  • Develop and execute technical roadmaps, overseeing projects from inception to implementation.
  • Lead functional and virtual teams to deliver high-quality run services and effective change programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest market trends in Workspace solutions and emerging technologies.
  • Identify customer needs and translate them into efficient and effective IT services.

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Workspace services in both Microsoft and Apple ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of delivering highly available and performant Workspace services to achieve service, cost, and risk targets/SLAs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical, process, and people change as a change agent.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide suitable technology solutions.
  • Driven, pragmatic, tenacious, and authoritative.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities, supporting colleagues throughout the journey and fostering a winning spirit.

 

Office based working from our Handforth Support Office for 2 days a week
