Working 37.5 hours per week as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Nursing Associate role will see you bridge the gap between Healthcare Assistants and Nurses, supporting them and the wider team to deliver high quality, person-centred, compassionate care to Service Users.
With experience from the NHS or private sector, you'll have a natural way with people and be able to communicate effectively as you provide person-centred care and support for people with living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries.

What you will be doing
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and provide high-quality nursing care
- Be responsible for personal development and support the development and supervision of others by developing and maintaining specialist knowledge
- Work proactively to ensure that every Service User is well cared for
- Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining safety and seeking support, supporting the resident, family and other staff as required
- Maintain clear, accurate and concise clinical records
Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times - Ensure clinical practice is evidence based or peer reviewed “best practice”
Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to deliver and evidence-based service. - To participate in the supervision, caseload monitoring and clinical education of student nurses and less experienced staff with support of senior staff
Where you will be working
Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.
The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
