UKI - Audit Quality Programme Team - Knowledge Manager - London

Job description

EY has an established Audit Quality Programme (‘AQP’) seeking to promote and drive improvements in audit quality, working closely alongside the audit practice. It is a high-profile programme, both internally and externally, sponsored by our UK Head of Audit. The team reports to the Audit Quality Executive Committee, Audit Leadership Team and the EY Audit Board. There is great interest in the programme from EY’s Independent Non-Executives, our regulators, and the investor community. 

 

Opportunity:

AQP are seeking to recruit a Knowledge Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to bring new insights and ways to increase our engagement with the audit practice in developing, implementing and embedding the quality initiatives we are responsible for. This individual will define and lead the strategy on updating and maintaining our knowledge sources, ensuring all communication from the AQP is impactful and effective. They will be responsible for researching, understanding and addressing the knowledge needs through results of focus groups and surveys, and developing an appropriate response.

 

The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the audit practice can locate, access and use the knowledge and tools needed to perform their audits to the highest quality levels. They will define and apply consistent standards, processes, governance and infrastructure in which knowledge is recorded, shared and kept up to date.

 

As part of the role, the Knowledge Manager will work closely with the Quality Enablement Network (local office representatives of the extended AQP team) to provide coaching, training and support to upskill audit teams regarding knowledge and tools available. The ultimate aim being to increase awareness and utilisation of the tools/knowledge available.

 

The Knowledge Manager will also have an integral role in the design and delivery of key AQP events for the audit practice.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading on the development and implementation of AQP’s communication strategy
  • Creating and growing our team’s brand across communications and social media
  • Managing all content on audit quality Portals, SharePoints and other platforms, ensuring content remains relevant and responsive to emerging quality themes - this will involve responsibility for operating ISQM1 controls in relation to content and maintenance of relevant links
  • Working with the Quality Enablement Network to provide coaching, training and support to promote AQP content and tools with audit teams to increase utilisation
  • Working with our Standardisation team to create engaging Task Specific Tutorials (‘TSTs’), overseeing their launch to the practice, promoting engagement within audit teams and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of the library of TSTs
  • Involvement with focus groups and surveys to obtain insights in respect of the quality initiatives and tools and develop strategies to increase the culture of knowledge
  • Supporting on the design and delivery of our annual Audit Quality Summit and Roadshows to ensure they are interactive and impactful

Experience

  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint sites
  • Experience of marketing, brand awareness and social media preferable
  • Enthusiasm for working with different technologies (e.g., animation/video) and creativity to increase the impact of material/communications launched to the practice
  • Audit experience would be advantageous, but is not essential

Location

This role could be based in any of our UK offices, with scope for flexible working. Some travel would be required for team meetings/events. Team meetings are held typically once per month in either London or Birmingham, either of which would be a preferred but not essential office location.
