Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

 

Global Operations and Automation partners with Global Operations, WPB, MSS, and Wholesale in enabling bank wide operations powered by our intelligent automation ecosystem and operations platforms that automate the bank at scale and accelerate the optimisation of our front-to-back customer journeys.  The team are truly global: developing and delivering change across all key markets supported by HSBC with a host of leading technologies.

Job Profile:

The Strategy and Transformation Lead role will report directly to the Strategy and Transformation Lead in Global Operations and Automation (GO&A) to drive and deliver the GO&A strategy that is defined and aligned to the outcomes of the wider HSBC Technology Vision ’27 Strategy and the wider Global Operations Business Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Strategy and Transformation Lead to drive the alignment of the GO&A Technology roadmap and strategy with the HSBC Technology Vision ’27 Stategy and Global Operations and HSBC business imperatives
  • Facilitate the development of GOA technology strategies, translate these into actions and a cohesive roadmap, monitor performance, and report on the effective execution of these strategies as well as to drive the transformational agenda of the organisation. Responsible for the execution of all GO&A transformation initiatives
  • Supports the Strategy and Transformation Lead to drive investment strategy across innovation and transformation initiatives
  • Business relationship management and represent GO&A in business discussions to ensure GO&A technology strategic roadmap enables the delivery of business value and transformation
  • Ensure that the GO&A long term strategy, vision and mission plans are understood within the team and by key stakeholders
  • Support the planning and prioritisation of GO&A budget and benefit realisation to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives/objectives that deliver value to the business
  • Supports the ownership of the transformation agenda for Global Operations and Automation
  • Supports the Strategy and Transformation Lead in leading the technology transformation
  • Supports the oversight of 3-5 years plans to understand benefits realisation, cost etc.
  • Prioritise focus on delivery that is most important to the board
  • Contributes to single set of reports/management information from cross-set of strategic programme directors
Requirements

Essential Skillset/Experience:

 

  • Previous experience of Operating Model design essential
  • Deep understanding of the mechanics of a transformation office
  • Understanding of tollgates, how to management governance
  • Experience and ability to create stories for business requirements and drive their delivery
  • A strong leader who can set the strategic vision and drive its delivery
  • Create executive presentations
  • Strong Business Architecture experience

 

The role will be based in Sheffield but some travel may be required. This role supports Hybrid working (2-3 days in the office each week)
