We are recruiting for a GCB5 Associate in our Sales Operations Team in HSBC’s Wholesale Cash Payments business, Global Payments Solutions (GPS). This role will report into the Global Head of Sales Operations for GPS, and will focus on analysis of Sales performance and elevating our Sales MI.

The role requires an experienced data analyst, and will provide significant exposure to senior management, in one of HSBC’s largest businesses. It is a great opportunity to deepen expertise in running a large Sales function, encompassing 800+ front line Sales staff.

The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London. A hybrid model is in place, and candidates can be expected to be in the office 1-2 days per week

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Analysis of client financial performance and Sales Manager performance for the Sales Leadership to enable better strategic decision making, influenced by data 
  • Elevate the data analysis skills of the Sales Operations team in other regions, enabling them to better assist local management
  • Elevate the smart use of data across the Sales Officer population, with a focus on leveraging the Bank’s strategic investment in enhanced MI tooling
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Access – ability to write complex VBA macros
  • Ability to engage with senior management on the results of data analysis
  • Strong PowerPoint skills advantageous
  • Extensive experience in a data analysis role, in a large corporation or financial institution
  • Experience in Cash Payments and exposure to CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics / Salesforce and Qlik desirable but not essential
