Job description
Experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Healthcare Worker is required for this position
This position is for day shifts only.
If you care for others without a second thought and are looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference and change lives for the better, then enjoy a £750 welcome bonus when you join Adderley Green as a Support Worker.
Whether you are looking for a new career or already work in healthcare through the NHS or private sector, you’ll receive training to join the team, where you will be valued and supported, with career development opportunities available.
It’s a career that you can take pride in while enjoying the satisfaction of helping people and seeing them improve. It’s what delivering great healthcare should feel like.
What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with neurological conditions. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.
You will have access to the Elysium Wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage, or group activities. Who doesn’t like a free massage at work?
With a huge range of courses that will help you grow and succeed, if you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, Elysium Healthcare can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.
The shift patterns include working days and weekends, 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week, 37.5 hours per week
Where you will be working
Location: Dividy Road, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST2 0TN
You will be working at Adderley Green, which consists of two units. Moorcroft Manor is a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, while Gladstone House is a specialist inpatient unit for people over 65 living with complex dementia.
Both units have extensive facilities catering for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements, and those who are above 65 and living with complex dementia.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything.
What you will get
• Annual salary of £21,547 (37.5 hours)
• £750 Welcome Bonus
• The equivalent of 33 days annual leave – plus your birthday off!
• Free meals and parking
• Wellbeing support and activities
• Career development and training
• Pension contribution
• Life Assurance
• Enhanced Maternity Package
• Flexible working opportunities
There are also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers and much more.
