About the role

As a Cash and Banking Assistant, you will be responsible for the cash and banking reconciliations for approximately 120 surgeries.

In this role, you will ensure that the banking at the Vet practices is accurate and complete and provide a high level of service and support for our Partners and surgery colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

• To develop a professional relationship with allocated surgeries to build respect and credibility of the cash and banking service
• Responsible for collating all banking sheets from the surgeries on a weekly basis
• Ensure all banking sheets are checked to confirm they are correct and to support the surgeries in resolving any errors
• Ensure all the takings are posted onto the Open Accounts system within 3 working days
• Responsible for reconciling the takings, checking takings correct against surgery expectations within set timescales
• To work with the surgeries to resolve any banking errors or queries
• Handling day to day queries with the surgeries
• To support the Cash and Banking team with any other requirements

• Creating Weekly Analysis Report
• Saving Banking Sheets
• Running Macro’s through banking sheets
• Resolving banking sheet discrepancies
• Posting takings journals
• Setting up takings reconciliations
• Running GL Transaction and Balances reports
• Profit Protection
• Takings Reconciliations
• Running Direct Credit rename macro
• Reconciliation clean ups
• Writing and updating process notes and training documents

What you’ll need

Educational

• AAT (part or qualified) is advantageous although not essential

Experience

• Experience of working within an accounts environment is advantageous although not essential

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Sound Excel skills and knowledge of other MS Office applications
• Customer Service
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, complete tasks and meet deadlines
