We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of CTF Client Manager.

The key purpose of this role is to actively participate in the operational delivery of the TRM (Transaction Risk Management) function by helping to deliver best practice policies, processes and systems efficiently whilst addressing related operational and credit risk.  The Manger will engage in the implementation and effective usage of the Collateral Management System and provide a best in class transaction management experience to the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) clients that comprise the CTF (Commodity Trade Finance) portfolio.

Key role within HSBC where successful TRM delivery is crucial to the efficient build up and sustainability of the CTF business. The jobholder is responsible for managing and owning client portfolios. Meeting the demands of multiple stakeholders will present a test of prioritization and negotiation as well as of operational efficiencies. Role holder should be seen to offer constructive challenge as well as provide support to stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

•    In-Flight Monitoring and Control of transactions to identify and react to irregular activity, risk based monitoring of high risk indicators
•    Assist with the delivery of a robust TRM operational infrastructure and reporting to underpin cross customer group sales initiatives. 
•    Assist with the establishment of procedures and framework to provide post-sanction conformance on all CTF facilities as well as ongoing transactional & collateral management 
•    Assist in the production and execution of CTF Facility and transactional documentation 
•    Ensure effective delivery and support for Internal Customers - CTF Business Development and GBM, Trade Services
•    Contribute to the overall business objective of revenue growth through revenue retention, reduced sales time on service and onboarding and improve overall KPIs
•    Take full ownership of clients’ transactional needs and have the flexibility and scope to draw on wide experience to resolve service issues 
•    Deliver accurate and relevant MI to Stakeholders – GTRF, Global Business (GB) Group Risk and regional risk functions    
•    Provide advice and guidance to other members of the TRM and to both internal and external Clients and Stakeholders as and when needed whilst ensuring delivery of objectives 
•    Understand clients’ transactional routines, build relationships & identify potential opportunities; thus work with BDMs (i.e. Sales Managers) on client strategies to increase utilisation 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

•    Knowledge and experience in all Trade products/processes 
•    Commodity Trade and Structured Trade Finance experience
•    Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
•    Ability to offer effective transactional advisory/guidance to clients, BDMs and RMs and general proactive approach
•    Able to deal with demanding clients; work under pressure and act proactively for issue resolution
•    A high level of communication skills both verbally and written
•    Strong multi-tasking and problem solving skills
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills; particularly MS Excel 
•    Be able to understand and interpret financial information

The base location for this role is London, this role is Hybrid working as you’ll be expected to work in the office as per business requirements.
