Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.

We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Statutory Reporting Manager

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the preparation of and review accounts and monthly reports for all types of investment vehicles managed by Investment Administration clients, ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with agreed procedures, quality and deadlines

In this role, you will:  

•    Form part of the Financial Reporting team, which provides Life Fund Accounting and Statutory Reporting services to a range of clients
•    Oversee the preparation of and review statutory accounts and monthly reports for Authorised Contractual Schemes, Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts, OEICS, Pension funds and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations at all times
•    Assist in managing client service delivery, be involved in the adoption of client data and (applying specialist skills in accountancy) will play a key part in providing subject matter expertise and technical assistance on key company projects
•    Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and third parties such as auditors and trustees

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:

•    Proven background in financial accounting with some knowledge of fund accounting and /or investment products such as Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts, OEICS and/or Pension Funds preferable
•    Be a qualified or part qualified accountant with some knowledge of SORP Report & Accounts requirements for different investment vehicles desirable 
•    Highly skilled at building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients at senior management level with the ability to communicate effectively in writing/verbally and plan and organise workload to meet deadlines
•    Solid attention to detail with the ability to identify and initiate process improvements with a proven strong commitment to service quality
•    Experience in managing a team to achieve success in client delivery, able to motivate and influence others

The base location for this role is Edinburgh.
