We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Tax Manager

 

 In this role, you will be responsible for  

·        Assist with the delivery of UK Tax reporting for Life Tax clients as required, ensuring daily; monthly and annual tasks / reporting are completed in a timely manner; effectively reviewed and checklists completed to evidence key controls have been adhered to.

·        Assist with the delivery of UK Tax reporting for collective investment funds as required. To include the review and authorisation of corporation tax computations and returns; income tax computations; VAT returns and annual adjustment calculations; quarterly tax rate reviews; forms CT61; asset set up and tax table queries. 

·        Keep up to date with life fund tax technical and regulatory changes and assist with associated training within the Tax Team. Maintain an awareness of industry issues for Authorised and Life funds.

·        Develop effective relationships with clients and external third parties, ensuring that taxation issues/queries are resolved satisfactory, within agreed deadlines and following established procedures. Attendance at client service review meetings as required.

·        Coordinate services changes / new client implementations/ fund mergers etc., ensuring that they are managed effectively, with minimal client disruption.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following

 

·        Professional qualification – ideally ATT, CTA or qualified by experience

·        Must show attention to detail.

·        Excellent analytical and communication skills required.

·        Comfortable dealing with client contacts and third parties.

·        Ability to meet tight deadlines and assist colleagues throughout the business.

 

The base location for this role is Edinburgh
