Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

 

 

Brief overview of the business area –

 

HSBC Group Technology is undergoing a significant transformation to new, agile ways of working that build closer business partnerships and more focused delivery for our customers.

 

Speed of Work was initiated in September 2021, it is a multiyear initiative, to simplify and accelerate delivery through end-to-end Agile Transformation, including:

  • Increase Agile Maturity, design and transition to VS operating model in each GBGF
  • Implement QBR and LPM governance supported by strategic tooling suite
  • Transition to Technology Platforms with cross-functional Agile Teams. 
  • Agile training, coaching and culture change. 
  • Finance simplification. DevSecOps, focused on increasing speed of delivery and optimising Technology costs via automation of manual activities and optimisation of consumption

 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced – LPM Design & Implementation  Lead

What you will be doing – 

  • Supporting the design and delivery of Lean Portfolio Management standards and governance that will apply across the HSBC Group
  • Support the design and implementation of the QBR process, OKR reporting framework
  • visualisations and roadmap for adoption across the HSBC Group
  • Support GBGFs, Regional and Market, and Group teams in the application of LPM and QBR in their respective areas
  • Working in partnership with the HSBC Group Transformation – Change Framework team, support the adoption of the Agile Change Framework guidance and KCI metrics within GBGFs, Regional and Market, and Group teams.
  • Providing training on the Agile Change Framework and provide subject matter expertise to GBGFs so they can plan their transition effectively.
  • Work in close partnership with Agile Tooling Design and Implementation Leads to ensure alignment of LPM design with Tooling design and capabilities 
Requirements

What you will bring to the role. 

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

  • Very strong understanding of Agile, LPM and QBR principles and in design and deliver of Strategic Tools to enable them, experience in the wide scale implementation of Clarity, Rally, Jira, a significant advantage 
  • Rally & Clarity Exp
  • Skilled Agile, LPM and QBR SME with a strategic mind-set and the gravitas to lead, motivate and coach HSBC Group to be high performing; this role needs to understand LPM, QBR and Strategic Tools and its necessary complications/details but also able to come up a level and understand and translate this into a Group wide strategy
  • Extensive experience designing, iterating, and delivering Agile transformations in large scale multi-geography organisations, especially with regard to LPM, QBR and Strategic Tooling
  • Experience working in a consultative manner with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex enterprise-wide business and IT programmes within FTSE100 companies
  • Commercially viable and understands digital platforms, services and underlying processes
  • Very strong collaboration, influencing and relationship building skills. Proven at delivering effective and successful change in a matrix environment

This role will primarily be based in London or the rest of the UK, some travel may be required.
