The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Agile software development teams and contribute to the delivery of Service implementations within the Pets at Home services layer. As part of a cross-functional Agile team, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, Testers, and Data Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of development projects within defined timescales and quality objectives. You will leverage your solid experience in service-oriented design, software development, and Agile working practices to drive excellence in our software delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions using DotNet and/or DotNetCore, demonstrating a strong understanding of service-oriented design and the relevant ecosystem and technologies.
- Collaborate effectively within an Agile team, working closely with Product Owners, UX designers, Testers, and Data Engineers.
- Deliver development projects within agreed timescales and quality objectives, adhering to defined Agile frameworks and processes.
- Utilize C# as the language of choice, applying frameworks, patterns, and practices to develop high-quality software solutions.
- Adopt a customer-oriented approach and focus on delivering desired outcomes.
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the development process.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in developing software using DotNet and/or DotNetCore.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented design, software development, and the relevant ecosystem and technologies.
- Proficiency in working with frameworks, patterns, and practices used for software development, with expertise in using C# as a development language of choice.
- Familiarity with Software/Process/Project lifecycles and Agile working practices.
- Experience with TDD, CI, and CD is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cloud-native software implementations, particularly within an Azure environment, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
