UK FS SaT Resource Manager * L3 (12 month FTC)
UK FS Strategy and Transactions have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager (L3) to join our team on a 12 month FTC (maternity leave cover). As the most senior team member focused on resourcing, this is an opportunity for an individual to lead on the resourcing function for a growing SL (c. 250 people across London and Edinburgh). 

 

You will use a commercial mind-set to understand and monitor business performance and the issues and challenges facing the practice. Your focus will be working closely with senior stakeholders to meet financial and non-financial objectives, as well as overseeing and ensuring that resource requirements for our engagement teams are met, optimising the utilisation of resources, improve performance and ensure Operational Excellence is maintained at all times. This is in conjunction with ensuring our people are provided with the best experiences to drive their careers.

 

This resource management role will sit as part of the UK FS SaT Operations team, where there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in broader Operations projects outside of Resource Management. 

 

Main Responsibilities
Supply and demand management
, including:

  • Delivering end to end deployment solutions to the client facing business 
  • Analyse pipeline and proactively engage with stakeholders to understand proposed resource model and timelines, ensuring resource requirements are known and can be met
  • Applying knowledge of people and the business to create high performing, diverse teams that will meet business requirements whilst supporting employee experience and development opportunities of client servers
  • Monitor and escalate availability of resources and work proactively across the Service Line, and with colleagues from wider FS in the UK and EMEIA to ensure utilisation is maximised 
  • Deal with resource escalations from the team, being the main point of contact for resourcing issues and managing these accordingly  

 

Employee experience management, including:

  • Regular communication with client servers to create effective relationships that facilitate identification and deep understanding of their skills, aspirations, development, preferences and boundaries
  • Ensuring a DE&I lens is taken across all resourcing decisions
  • Actively participate in the prep for, running of and attendance in the CCG review process 

 

Commercial reporting and analysis, including:

  • Working with stakeholders to ensure pipeline and Retain forecasting accuracy 
  • Regularly (weekly/monthly/ad hoc) providing insight on reporting analysis and inputting into Management Information reports (e.g. performance, utilisation, pipeline, DE&I and other Operational Excellence metrics) and acting on results
  • Lead discussions on forecast, trends, interventions and actions to improve results
  • Proactively highlighting opportunities or risks and driving action 


Contribute to an exceptional team

  • SaT is an exciting SL where we work across high-profile buyside and sellside transactions in the FS market. The SaT team is currently around 235 employees and, by working as part of a smaller service line, you will have plenty of opportunity to work with the Partner group directly who really value the support we provide as a team 
  • You will be responsible for the resource management across SaT. As the SL and areas of SaT continue to mature, there will be plenty of opportunity to bring ‘best practice’ thinking and influence how resourcing is delivered and the processes around this 
  • As part of the Operations team, you will have the opportunity to utilise your resourcing expertise to enhance Operations processes

  • Be line manager to and supported by 1 full time Resource Consultant
