We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of EMEA Non-Financial Risk Associate
The primary purpose will be The role holder will assist in the control and conduct framework within the regional Markets business for EMEA, supporting the regional business by owning and ensuring effective execution of global governance, assurance, conduct and control standards, or defining where such standards are specific/relevant to the regional business. They will play a key role in helping support and where necessary leading, the enhancement/improvement of controls and best practice within region.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the design and to help monitor the operating effectiveness of the control framework, escalating control issues as necessary
- Undertake continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.
- Act as a point of escalation for stakeholders with respect to internal control issues for the region/site
- RCAs - Participation in the refresh of the RCAs in coordination with the Risk Stewards, Risk Owners and Control Owners.
- Challenge and advise on other business changes which may impact key controls for the business
