Technology teams in the UK work closely with our global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

 

 

Role Description:

Enterprise Technology is the Technology organisation responsible for the design, build and ongoing maintenance of the systems owned by the Group Functions (Risk, Compliance, Finance, Core Banking, Corporate Functions and Deputy COO). The organisation consists of over 8,000 people working in collaboration across 14 countries, to support over 3,000 applications.

Responsibilities:

·         Defining the detailed end to end solution design for products and features in a way that supports the execution of the HSBC technology strategy and roadmap, articulating and addressing associated architectural risks, issues and technical debt

·         Translating the requirements created by business analysts into the architecture for that solution, ensuring the products and services meet the customer needs and expected Business Outcomes

·         Engage with relevant Stakeholders, Platform and Enterprise Architects who inform solution design

·         Ensuring the design of the solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities

·         Ensuring the NFRs are consistently defined and architected into the design

Requirements

Essential Skillset/Experience:

 

·         Knowledge of:

       Data modelling and Data Architecture concepts

       APIs and Messaging infrastructure and standards

       security concepts and design

·         Comprehensive understanding of third-party-management (TPM) business domain in a global context

·         Proven track record within Technology,

·         Current experience as a Solution Architecture, with particular focus within TPM area

·         Comprehensive understanding of latest tools and technologies in TPM area (e.g., RSA Archer, Coupa BSM)

·         Proven ability to make significant architectural decisions and provide justification for decisions taken with ability to breakdown non-functional requirements into Infrastructure and Security designs

·         Proven abilities to architect TPM solutions for a global enterprise

·         Proven abilities to architect cloud-native solutions using SaaS, PaaS and IaaS capabilities

·         Proven abilities to operate in Agile, API-led and DevSecOps environment
