The Role:

Purpose of the role is to lead the Strategic Partnerships business within the International Development function leading to a significant impact on the achievement of functional results.   Driving our partnership revenues in line with our International Development ambitious growth strategy. Working with the Head of Franchise & Global Distribution you will be responsible for leading the development and growth of a variety of business-to-business supplier relationships, distributor networks and wholesale customers predominantly in International markets but also in the UK, both through new strategic partnerships and ongoing account management of existing partners.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Strategic development and Customer Networking and relationship management  

  • Be the main point of contact for all wholesale client/customers building relationships, understanding their needs, and recommending the most appropriate solutions
  • Ensuring that excellence is delivered in partner relationship management, revenue growth management, annual business planning cycles and performance delivery
  • Develop an appropriate suite of ‘sell in' tools to deliver a compelling brand story and proposition to attract new customers
  • Leverage business networks and associations/trade bodies and represent the business through attendance at relevant events and trade shows to develop new leads, connections and business opportunities

Leadership and development of existing customers/accounts

  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with Partners and market-level compliance with the Agreement and Operating Manual
  • Review the current customer portfolio and develop a clear framework by which to manage our customer base including the management of exit strategies
  • Review and refresh existing contractual arrangements to ensure optimal contracting moving forwards
  • Manage and grow existing accounts through building and operating shared win-win business plans
  • Commercial mindset – able to identify and seed commercial opportunities within B2B with developed commercial acumen & analytical capability. Financially and commercially savvy with clear understanding of P&L management & business planning
  • Forecasting and internal reporting against targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Manage the H&B selling price offered to wholesale markets, ensuring the range is fairly priced, with good uptake across all categories, encouraging the right local retail price architecture and H&B targets are delivered
  • Working collaboratively across both International Development and the UK operation to ensure all projects are landed efficiently and effectively and the growth agenda and needs are clear and understood
  • Work alongside International Operations team to ensure market specific regulatory needs are understood

Compliance

  • Ensure all Partners and customers operate to H&B corporate principles, upholding regulatory, legislative and operational requirements and protecting the integrity of the brand

Relationship Management

  • Strong relationship management –builds relationships with a range of partners
  • Strong influencing, coaching and people management skills with a proven ability to influence and deliver complex/tough messaging to external organisations
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation & networking skills – work closely with other functions to inform and promote shared objectives
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written in English to influence, challenge, engage, negotiate and inspire team, peers and stakeholders with the ability to present and bring people on the journey
  • Influence and coach the Partners' leadership team to seek/exploit trading opportunities and deliver continuous improvement to maximise market share
  • Collaborative style - A natural collaborator who seeks to engage, influence and support the Head of Franchise & Global Partnership, Director of International Development and Executive Board
  • Build strong collaborative relationships within H&B; Retail, Online, Marketing, Merchandising, Training and within the International Development team
  • The ability to travel to relevant International markets when required

 

The Person:

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record of extended experience in an International account management or sales role with B2B/ wholesale;  Health and Wellness industryexperience a plus
  • Demonstrated negotiating and securing sustainable commercial terms on new high value ventures in multiple markets
  • Good commercial awareness: P&L understanding to develop competitive, sustainable, and profitable new business with customers
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding international retail sales, purchases and margin targets. Significant proven experience of sales in B2B environment
  • Solid judgement gained from experience, can make proposals and recommendations based on experience
  • Drive, resilience and energy - can thrive in an ambiguous and changing environment
  • Flexible style – Ability to see the big picture as well as being willing and able to ‘roll up sleeves' to help deliver
  • Cultural awareness, ideally across Asia, Europe and Middle East

Location: 

Hybrid / Flexible – our Hub is based in Nuneaton and we also have office in London, we will expect you to travel to one of these locations occasionally for meetings and depending on business needs be present up to few days a week in the office.
