About the role
As a Technical CRM Specialist, you will work on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire) and report into to the CRM Manager for campaigns.
In this role, your main focus will be to increase email and app marketing success by building and optimising communications for our customers. You will also lead a team of two Developers who build bespoke and templated communications.
Working closely with the CRM Marketing, you will develop, build and manage email and app campaigns with a mobile first approach, as well as identifying campaign related performance and reporting to superiors. You will also take the lead in understanding and developing new opportunities within incumbent platforms and identify new opportunities and MarTech to test.
Key responsibilities will include supporting, coaching, and line managing a Junior Developer and a Developer. You will encourage and facilitate their professional training as needed. Collaboration and reporting to key stakeholders and cross-functional teams will be essential to consistently deliver quality communications that align with business objectives and adhere to industry best practices and design standards.
Your expertise in HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices will enable you to create and code responsive and interactive experiences for email. You will also develop and modify email templates and existing campaigns, including conducting A/B testing. We encourage innovation and a mobile-first approach, and you will contribute to the modernization and evolution of our customer communications.
About you
To excel in this role, you must have a clear understanding and experience in coding and HTML.
Line management experience is essential, as well as advanced knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS. Proficiency in responsive email design and front-end development is crucial, along with experience in JavaScript and the Adobe Creative Suite. Working knowledge of SQL and AMPscript is desirable.
Familiarity with email compliance regulations, email marketing, and marketing automation technology is also important. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritize workloads are vital for success.
If you have a good understanding of consumer direct marketing and/or online experience, multi-agency experience, and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Tableau reporting platform, that would be highly desirable.
