UK Financial Services Sustainable Finance Marketing Manager

We are recruiting an exciting position for a marketing manager to lead and drive several campaigns, chiefly Sustainable Finance, to support the UK business growth plans. 

 

The opportunity

Based in our Canary Wharf office, you will be responsible for managing the Sustainable Finance campaign and other projects, working with several senior stakeholders, developing marketing plans, and driving activity. The role is responsible for the development and delivery of marketing communications across our three sectors: Banking and Capital Markets (BCM); Insurance; and Wealth and Asset Management (WAM). 


You will deliver on high-profile projects with the help of the Global Delivery Service (GDS) team and UK Marketing Executives, reporting into Liz Garrigan, UKFS Campaigns Leader and Jag Chana, UK Financial Services Marketing Leader.  

 

Being part of a dynamic and fast-paced industry, your role will be crucial in helping the business respond to industry issues and to deliver against its strategic priorities. 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of industry issues, business priorities and key campaigns for the UK financial services business, chiefly Sustainable Finance
  • Creation of integrated campaign strategies and plans which include all the relevant BMC disciplines – Brand, Marketing, Internal Communications and Press
  • Generation of creative ideas and tailored initiatives, to build our brand, drive sales and develop advocacy within the business
  • Working with subject matter experts to develop timely, relevant, and insightful content
  • Development of a robust digital and social media strategy to support the execution of campaign activity
  • Understanding of client issues, to proactively identify the right channels to market and innovate to engage with our audience in different ways
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, influencing leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Leveraging UK&I, EMEIA and global campaign activity and localising content where relevant to UK campaign priorities
  • Leading and coaching junior members of the team on campaign activation
  • Responsible for analysing the value and impact of campaign activity
  • Monitor and report on budgets

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstratable experience in managing multiple marketing campaigns
  • Integrated campaign management experience, including events, content, and social media 
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence 
  • A confident individual with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills 
  • An innovative and creative thinker
  • Ability to produce written collateral i.e., copy for social media, blogs, along with proof-reading skills
  • Commercially minded and results driven
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work under pressure


To qualify for the role you must have

  • A minimum of 5-6 years of campaign experience 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering marketing plans, content, and events 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing others
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders, external clients, and suppliers
  • Excellent project management skills and experience of working with various processes

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Working knowledge of Sustainable Finance
  • Experience of working within a professional services partnership 
  • CIM qualified or a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications
