Do you help others without a second thought? If so, join Arbury Court as the Physical Health & Wellbeing Coach where you will support people's recovery. 

At Arbury Court in Warrington, you will provide one to one and group guidance, and comprehensive educational fitness and healthy lifestyle programs to service users to achieve their fitness goals to support their care plans.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will support people with complex needs mental health and associated physical health issues. You will be able to design relevant fitness programs that will help engage the service users and benefit their recovery, it is essential you understand the needs, challenges, and interests of each service user. 

You will assist service users in achieving and monitoring their fitness goals and optimising physical health and well-being through bespoke programmes. You will be able to demonstrate and explain the effects and benefits to the service users, motivating them to interact and achieve their goals.

Role – Physical Health & Wellbeing Coach 

Location – Warrington, Cheshire 

Salary – £22835.00

Hours – 37.5, Full-Time

Your responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the exercises and ensure that the patient is performing the exercises correctly.
  • Explain the effects of particular exercises to patients.
  • Ensure that exercise equipment is in good condition.
  • Motivate the patient to achieve the set fitness goals.
  • Be punctual and ensure that the designed workout routine is followed properly.
  • Provide health, nutrition and fitness programme for the patient group.
  • To track and document progress record and analyse accordingly the workout programme.
  • To facilitate evidence based individual and group sessions.
  • To produce specific progress reports as per service level agreements.
  • To ensure that local policies, procedures and protocols are adhered to.
  • In liaison with the Practice Nurse and Lead Nurse per site to actively contribute to the development of evidence based, clinically governed best practice.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • NVQ3 in Personal Training from a recognised provider / HND or equivalent in Sport Science / Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Fitness related field 
  • Governing Body Sports Coaching qualifications
  • Life Saving/Pool attendant qualification & pool management mertificate 
  • Understanding of forensic service users needs
  • Understanding of the CPA process
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for a specific patient group
  • Knowledge of current legislation including the Mental Health Act (1983)
  • Evidence of excellent caseload and time management skills
  • Demonstrable experience coaching sport in a secure setting
  • Experience of working with individuals to support and maintain a healthy lifestyle 

Where you will be working

Location: Arbury Court, Townfield Lane, Winwick, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 8TR

Join the multidisciplinary team at Arbury Court and provide care and treatment for adult women in medium, and low secure, and psychiatric intensive care PICU) environments, who have Personality Disorder and Mental Health conditions.

Rehabilitation and recovery at Arbury Court focuses on care being ‘person-centred’ as opposed to ‘disease-centred’.

The service is located just off the M62 jnc 9 in Winwick, which benefits from good transport links, making it easy to commute to from most local areas between Liverpool and Manchester.
