Security Engineer in Chester House, Epsom Ave, Handforth, Cheadle, Greater Manchester, SK9 3DF

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) and deliver and manage technology solutions that safeguard our business. Responsibilities:

Deliver Security Tools and Products:

• Analyse and test various security solutions to identify the most cost-effective options.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of products before rollout.
• Lead product or service rollout initiatives.

Maintain Security Tools and Products:

• Operate various security products to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with third-party experts and managed service providers to ensure proper functioning of products and services.
• Regularly review metrics to monitor and assess security tool effectiveness.
• Swiftly respond to potential security incidents.

Respond to Security Incidents:

• Take charge of responding to security incidents promptly and effectively.
• Engage external specialist companies for guidance during incident resolution.
• Support internal teams in their response to security incidents.

Required Skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Cyber Security, including tools and solutions.
• Familiarity with the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
• Understanding of the MITRE Attack Framework.

Desirable Skills:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification.
• Security+ (CompTIA) certification.
• Microsoft security qualifications.
• Experience or knowledge of ISO27001 certification.
• Experience or knowledge of PCI-DSS certification.
