We currently have an opportunity for a Director within DCM

HSBCs London based SSA Syndicate desk is an award winning, best in class and market leading franchise with a leading league table/P&L proposition. We are looking for a replacement hire, Director level to join the Syndicate team. The role would be to head the SSA Syndicate desk, where primary responsibilities will be advising global clients on new issuance across EUR, GBP and USD. The SSA Syndicate desk is one of the four pillars of the DCM business, with the three others being Corporates, Financials & Emerging markets.

The successful candidates main duties will involve:

·         Active issuer coverage to understand financing needs, market access, timing, execution strategy and asset class selection.

·         Pricing & relative value positioning of a multitude of securities, transactions across currencies. Including an understanding of complex market dynamics including the swap market.

·         Executing new transactions in conjunction with HSBCs global sales and trading platform.

·         Working closely with origination & structuring teams within DCM.  

·         Supporting the team head and other sectors in busy periods to maintain a market leading franchise.

Requirements

·         DCM Experience preferable

·         European language skills a plus

·         Appetite for growth in role
