The Advisory Service Line has a global network of over 23,000 professionals with over 4,000 advisors in the UK & Ireland (UK&I). We provide Performance Improvement, Risk and IT Risk & Assurance services to our customers. 
 
The Advisory line is organized around three markets, Energy and Assets (E&A), Government and Public Sector (GPS) and Products and Services (P&S).

Your key responsibilities

In your role as an EY Manager you will have responsibility for designing & delivering key aspects of our technology projects within our client base. You will be expected to:

• Deliver successful project outcomes with the use of proven project methodologies 
• Manage & lead a Reporting & Analytics work stream within a BI project team on a client-facing engagement, working effectively across the full lifecycle delivery of a large, complex technology programmes
• Deliver technology solutions in line with leading practices
• Engage and collaborate with clients’ stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to develop excellent, long-term client relationships
• Present to stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
• Become a trusted advisor and be seen as a technical SME by our customers
• Act as a line manager to more junior consultants 
• Council and mentor more junior members of staff 
• Generate additional sales within project engagements
• Build excellent client relationships

Skills and attributes for success

You will have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Strong SAP BW/4HANA background Application Specialist certified or equivalent experience
• Technical Datasphere SME with hands on development experience of end-to-end analytical product delivery using SAP datasphere
• Expertise in core Datasphere functionality including source system integration and federation using DP agent, remote tables, Data Builder & Business Builder, Analytical Models, Spaces Mgt, Data Fabric & Data Catalog
• Able to position the features and limitations of SAP Datasphere
• Understanding of leading practices for configuring SAP Datsphere
• Strong functional process knowledge and an ability to contextualise technology solutions to business users and articulate business value
• Full understanding of the features and limitations of SAP’s wider Business Intelligence stack
• Full lifecycle project delivery experience including
  • Workshop planning and delivery
  • Requirements & backlog definition
  • Report & user experience design
  • Data Model Design
  • Creation of Functional & Technical specifications
  • System configuration
  • Build, Test & Deploy phases
• A track record of hands-on delivery experience within a major SAP programme using BW/4 HANA, DWC or Datasphere including;
  • Data Extraction from SAP & Non-SAP sources & delta handling
  • Operational Data Provisioning & SDA
  • BW4 Data Flow Modelling including advanced DSOs, Composite Providers & InfoSources,
  • Complex transformations & AMDPs 
  • HANA Modelling & Optimisation
  • User Management, Security and authorisations
  • Environment and transport management
  • System monitoring, administration & Process Chains
  • Performance optimization
  • SAP BW/4 Data Lifecycle Management & Dynamic Tiering
  • Migration methodology (In-Place, Shell & Remote Conversions)
  • BEx query design experience including complex key figures & user exit variables
  • Experience developing reporting solutions in one of more of the SAP front-end tools including SAC, WEBI or, Design Studio
• Expert understanding of LSA++ Architecture & BW/4 HANA best practices 
• Awareness and experience of the SAP Business Technology Platform

To qualify for the role you must have

• Demonstrable ability to manage work streams 
• Understanding of the full life cycle of BW or DWC implementations
• Experience working with waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
• Experience delivering business intelligence & reporting projects
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationships
• Strong presentation skills 
• Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements    

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Hands-on delivery experience of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) & BW-Bridge 
• Experience using BPC, IP or SAP Analytics Cloud
• Experience in complex BW project delivery 
• An understanding of the SAP BI roadmap and industry trends
• Functional understanding of core modules within current SAP source systems
• Exposure to a specific industry would be advantageous
