Job description

Job description

On our 3-year Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (GRCS) Graduate Programme you’ll have the KPMG community by your side supporting you to develop and thrive with us. Through working with clients across a variety of sectors and structured training, you’ll build your commercial and financial awareness, as well as the skills you need to build the career you want.

If you are interested in understanding how businesses operate, the risks they face and how decisions are made, then our GRCS programme is for you. You’ll develop and refine specialist business and accounting skills whilst improving our clients’ governance, risk management and control environments. Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll provide clients with an unbiased and objective view using the consulting and assurance skills you develop. Looking beyond financial statements and risks, you’ll also consider client reputation, growth, environmental factors and the way they treat their employees.

On the programme you will help us provide valuable insight and commercial recommendations to our clients to support them in achieving their business objectives by conducting in-depth analysis of data and business processes. Our services incorporate: Internal Audit and Risk Assurance, and Governance, Risk and Compliance.

  • Internal Audit and Risk Assurance — independent assurance that an organisation's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance — critical factors to businesses in a changing environment - as the landscape evolves, new risks and compliance requirements emerge.

You’ll also work toward a professional qualification, the ACA Accelerated qualification or CA equivalent in Scotland. The qualification gives you the chance to combine work and study over 3 years. Your programme might see you working in a specific industry sector or across a variety of industries, depending on the office you join. There’s also potential to gain broader Consulting experience, as your programme might include working with other teams in the wider Enterprise Risk space outside of the core GRCS service line, whilst still being relevant to your ACA qualification.

After completing your qualification, the learning and career opportunities continue. You can take the valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of one or more industry sectors, to continue building an exciting and varied long-term career.

At KPMG, you’ll find that work is no longer a place we go, it's a contribution we make. Our people have always worked flexibly – so this way of working isn't new for us. We’re creating a tech-driven business to empower and equip our people to be outstanding in delivery, no matter where they work – through inspiring collaboration spaces and new technologies. In your role, you’ll work flexibly across your location region – at engagement sites, our offices and home.

Join us and be part of an inclusive team that’s supportive of individual wellbeing and embraces diversity – and the meaningful difference this has for our people, our firm, our clients and our communities. If you’re curious, resilient and agile you could thrive with us.
