Role summary:
This role sits in the Reward team for EY UK.  

 

It is a permanent role and reports into the Reward Associate Director for the region. 

 

The Reward Manager role requires appropriate project management skills, qualifications, and experience of large programme management in a professional environment. Ideally the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Talent and/or compensation processes, with the experience and expertise to suggest improvements where feasible and who can build relationships effectively with stakeholders.

 

The role holder will be the main focal point for the annual pay review for the whole of UK and Ireland and will also be involved in supporting the transition from EY’s legacy compensation platforms to SAP Success Factors compensation module in the future.
Working alongside the data analyst in the team, they will be responsible for delivering a first-class partnering service during the annual pay review and will manage reward-based projects of varying size and complexity that impact the whole of EY UK (approx. 20,000 employees).

Essential functions of the job:

  • Lead on the development and execution of compensation processes such as the annual pay review and mid-year promotion review
  • Work with the wider teams to build out a full project plan encompassing the year-end performance outcomes process (LEAD) and Shared Services elements of the project
  • Lead on the relationship with the third-party provider (Payscale) for running the pay review projects alongside the data and build team within Reward
  • Support the project to migrate compensation plans, data, and other relevant elements from existing platforms to SAP SuccessFactors in the future
  • Support the project management on other Total Reward projects as required

 

Project management and communication:

  • Leading project management on assignments of varying size and complexity
  • Working with business and Talent Leaders to facilitate discussions around Talent initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Meeting with Reward, Talent, and third-party comp system supplier (Payscale) to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
  • Developing detailed project plans to guide stakeholders, staff members and project teams with revisions required as needs and requirements change
  • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery
  • Compiling and submitting project status reports and running weekly calls with project team
  • Review of resourcing requirements, supporting junior team members with project delivery
  • Developing excellent leadership and communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders

 

Experience and personal qualities: 

  • Considerable experience at manager level of leading compensation focused projects with multiple work streams (essential) 
  • Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities
  • The ability to deal with and manage uncertainty and incomplete information
  • Ability to be successful in a virtual environment, working from home with limited supervision
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, confident on presenting live
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
  • Experience of working in complex matrix organisations (desirable)
  • Experience of working in Excel (desirable)
  • Prince2 or APM qualification (useful) 

 

Supervision responsibilities: 

  • Working with offshore teams to support compensation projects
  • Monitor and develop offshore team members to upskill and build their experience
