Description

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Payroll Project and Compliance Support professional, responsible for driving the success of payroll projects and ensuring compliance with legislation. Reporting to the Group Payroll Implementation and Compliance Lead, you'll play a crucial role in designing and executing test plans, supporting efficiency improvements, and providing guidance on compliance matters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test payroll system enhancements, defects, patching, legislation, and compliance updates; produce test plans, scripts, and track progress.
  • Support efficiency and service improvements, recording and tracking them for continuous enhancement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Reward Team, People Services, Group IT, etc.
  • Represent the Payroll Project team in project meetings and contribute expertise on payroll matters.
  • Gather and assess requirements for payroll system changes, raising configuration change requests.
  • Utilize payroll systems to support best practices, project deliverables, and compliance integrity.
  • Track project requirements and milestones using various project management systems.
  • Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities to reduce compliance risks.
  • Provide training and support to the payroll team and wider business for system and process changes.

 

Skills Required:

  • Experience in various payroll impacting projects and improvement strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of Payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data accurately.
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working on integrated payroll systems; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Ability to knowledge-share, mentor, and train others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective collaboration across teams.
  • Honest and trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential information in adherence to GDPR.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in contributing to the company's success.
