We are currently looking to hire a European Insurance Research Associate within our Equity Research team

This position will be responsible for supporting equity research teams in analysing and interpreting economic developments and key trends in equity markets, providing views for internal/external clients. 

This will involve conducting bespoke research and analysis, as well as participating in and creating of presentations, conferences, seminars and media coverage and the attending of expert events and corporate access.

Key responsibilities: 
•    Provide assistance on the European Insurance space 
•    Assist and co-ordinate industry, sector and company research products
•    Build and maintain industry databases and company models 
•    Keep abreast of newsflow – insurance company, sector and regulatory developments
•    Assist with corporate access – eg non-deal roadshows, reverse roadshows, conferences
•    Scope to assume lead analyst responsibilities in time

•    Solid educational background 
•    Financial /insurance sector knowledge – working knowledge of IFRS 17 and Solvency II
•    Preference for candidates with CFA/ACA qualification, or equivalent
•    Experience working with Bloomberg, Datastream, Visible Alpha and other data sources would be beneficial
•    Proficient Microsoft Office skills
•    Team player, diligent, organised and inquisitive
•    Aspires to build a research analyst career 
•    Additional languages preferred
