We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Programme Manager - Custody Transformation
The primary purpose will be to manage various strategic initiatives. The position is a senior and leading role, accountable for driving and delivering a key Custody Transformation programme, as well as involvement in other key strategic programmes. The role will require management & leadership capabilities including direct/matrix management and career development of teams.
This role will drive collaboration with other partner functions, including Sales & Business Development, Strategic Client Management, Product Management, Operations and Technology teams – to ensure cross functional alignment with respect to prioritisation of work and delivery.
In this role:
• The Programme Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of the programmes they own. Driving the successful delivery, providing end-end leadership, planning & collaboration with business partners, technology groups, suppliers & customers. Chair, facilitate and present updates on programme executions in established governance forums.
• Proactively challenge the status of risks / issues / blockers to ensure the appropriate mitigation & remedial plans are in place. Collaborate with business partners, technology groups, suppliers & customers to manage and provide updates on programme execution.
• Encourage a positive, collaborative working environment across disciplines and teams to ensure strong alignment. Encourage adoption of agile ways of working. Participating in client facing discussions and workshops, to socialise delivery strategy, roadmap as required.
• Management of multiple senior stakeholder groups to ensure they are updated on latest delivery roadmap, seeking support for any risks / issues that requirement management support.
• dentify opportunities to improve ways of working, and engage the team and functions on regular retrospectives to identify suggestions for change. Managing and leading teams (direct and indirect) towards goals for the value-stream that contribute to execution of the strategy.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience in management and leadership capabilities, including direct management and career development of teams.
• Flexibility in approach, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations. Ability to manage ambiguity and work to bring clarity by effectively engaging clients or partners. Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, with strong ability to influence and persuade.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly depending on audience (e.g. internal stakeholders, clients etc).
• Ability to execute role with a high level of autonomy while being mindful of when to seek guidance and approval. Thrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working across different groups and time zones. Knowledge of Post Trade, Equities or Fixed Income within a Custodian or Broker Dealer environment for Settlements, or Asset Services is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
• Sound understanding of IT infrastructure and software development. Bachelor degree and relevant experience.
