Job description
Are you a UK-based Registered Nurse (RGN) looking for a new bank opportunity to work in a supportive and kind environment with the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work? If so, join our Nurse Bank at The Dean Neurological Centre in Gloucester.
As an experienced Registered Nurse from the NHS or private sector, you'll join the team at The Dean as a Bank Registered Nurse working with a 12.07% hourly pay uplift and the ability to book our shifts through the Temployer App, while changing lives for the better.
Your career at Elysium will be enjoyable and rewarding as you develop specialist skills and make a real difference for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Being on the Bank at The Dean as a Registered Nurse is a career that you can take pride in and enjoy. It’s what delivering great healthcare should feel like.
What you will be doing
As a Registered Nurse you will join a supportive multi-disciplinary team that works well together in caring for people of all ages who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries, and providing a high level of personal and rehabilitative care.
You will pick up shifts to work as part of a wider team alongside therapy colleagues to deliver the individual care each person needs while maintaining accurate records.
It can be very physical working with people with limited mobility, providing personal care and although challenging, it is highly rewarding. You’ll be supported by a team of colleagues ready to lend a hand and work together to a common goal. No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.
The service is a 24/7 environment, with full time hours either 8am-8pm for days or 8pm-8am for nights. Part-time hours are a combination of early shifts (8am-2pm) and late shifts (2pm-8pm). Both positions are across the full week so there are no set days in which you will work, with weekends included on a rota.
You’ll join our teams that support people who have complex rehabilitation needs such as tracheostomies / ventilated / peg feeds and who have extensive and long-term rehabilitation goals. In some cases, people’s mobility and speech can be affected and we work closely with a range of other services including wheelchair, speech and alternative communication aid providers.

- NMC registration
- Strong team-working skills
- A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
