Team Leader in Lichfield

What you will be doing: 

You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities. Whether you have extensive experience as a Healthcare Assistant, or currently a Senior Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life. Ideally you will hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; thanks to you being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week.

Where you will be working:

Location: 1 Lichfield Lane, Twickenham, London, TW2 6LA

You will be working at Lichfield Lane, a service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will offer support to people as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support.

The shift patterns include working: 7am - 2.30pm & 2.30pm - 10pm, 5 days a week including weekends on a rota basis. This is a permanent, full time contract, 37.5 hours per week.

Things that you will have:

• Ideally that you hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Preferred qualified to NVQ Level 3 or willing to work towards 
• Leadership skills 
• Have strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature
• Be willing to support residents with personal hygiene
• Have excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humour
• Deal with challenging behaviours
• Have a positive and professional approach
