Job Purpose

The Systems & Fulfilment co-ordinator will help manage the day-to-day conversations and performance with our carrier as well as support the carrier manager to shape the future strategy. They will also be accountable for parts of the carrier network P&L to deliver forecasts and identify operation opportunities. As well as part of this role the coordinator will own metapack Order Management System logic aligned to DC output. Our carrier network is worth circa £15M per annum and we currently have 7 different carriers across our network.

 

Requirements for the Role

  • Comfortable leading conversations with internal and external contacts
  • Good data awareness and understanding of customer-centric focus
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Experience operating in a commercial, retail environment.
  • Effective joint business planning, programme management, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives
  • Full clean driving licence as this role may require travel to operational sites ( Stafford DC)
  • Competent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Teams

 

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the management of performance/SLA metrics with carriers with relevant information to plan efficiently/effectively
  • Daily communication with Distribution colleagues to support business requirements
  • Supporting the management of performance with third party tech solutions Metapack and Narvar on solution audits to improve service and strategic developments
  • Support volumes forecast; supporting the Distribution Centres in getting ahead of increased volumes; anticipating the need for increased collections
  • Developing awareness of competitors’ fulfilment operations and supporting the development of a strategic vision for Digital fulfilment
  • Participating within the negotiation of rate and terms and tender exercises when required
  • Managing the outcomes of customer contact profiling; working quickly to understand patterns and trends and rectifying issues
  • Working cross functionally across the business to deliver change management and continuous improvement opportunities where required
  • Visiting operational sites internally and externally

  • Able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team and establish effective working relationships at all levels of the business
  • Highly organised and confident to work in a fast-paced environment.
