Employment Legal Counsel, City Storage Systems - EMEA in London

Who we are

At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

What you’ll do

Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and HR team members to determine strategy and approach on employment-related legal matters.

Advise business and HR colleagues on employment obligations across EMEA jurisdictions, including but not limited to, works council matters.

Advise on a broad range of employment issues, including recruitment, disciplinary actions and terminations, complex leaves of absence and accommodations issues, hourly workers, performance management and HR policies.

Manage pre-litigation and litigation (for employment and other issues) and devise creative resolution strategies with the support of outside counsel, as needed.

Review and draft contracts, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.

What we’re looking for

Attorney with 5-10 years of experience in a combination of in-house companies and law firms in EMEA with specialized experience in labor and employment law, including counseling and litigation experience.

A lawyer qualified in the UK, US, FR, IT or SP

Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible and team-oriented attitude is needed to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities. This role suits someone keen to broaden their practice area beyond employment law.

Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ideally fluent in French or Spanish.
