Senior NPI Engineer - Casting in Rotherham

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior NPI Engineer (Castings) to join the team and add value to some exciting NPI projects, looking to improve and implement change to processes

They are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role; Senior NPI Engineer Key responsibilities: To have a strong background and understanding of the casting process Ideally come from a highly regulated manufacturing background such as nuclear and defence, medical, automotive or aerospace Accountable for the definition, design and validation of multiple NPI Projects from concept into production, ensuring validation of all parts in accordance with company protocol Have a strong knowledge and background in delivering on NPI projects and the gated process Working alongside the sales team, leading the review of customer 3D models, 2D drawings and specifications Convert customer 3D models and 2D drawings to forging drawing, applying DFM methodology Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to oversee the creation of technical Project Plans Ensure project delivered in line with planned schedule, whilst adhering to the phase gate process effectively and in a timely manner Escalate issues or roadblocks and corrective actions to NPI Manager for a timely and efficient resolution Identify and support in promoting continuous improvement and cost savings projects, whilst complying with quality assurance requirements and systems Key experiences/qualifications: Degree in a relevant engineering field (desirable) Extensive previous experience in a similar role is needed A strong hands on background within NPI/process/validation engineering roles Experience/knowledge of casting is highly desirable however other specialisms such as casting or similar transferable skills will be considered Experience with design (Solidworks) and simulation (highly desirable) If you want to discuss the positions in more detail, please call Katy Emmott at Elevation Recruitment Group on.
