As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the mechanical design team. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mechanical designs for a variety of industrial engineering projects. This is a contract position for 9-12 months, falling outside the scope of IR35, offering an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled individual to contribute to groundbreaking projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the mechanical design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions. Oversee the development of mechanical systems, from initial concept through to final design and implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure cohesive project delivery. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Provide technical expertise in mechanical design, offering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in mechanical design and management, preferably within an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in CAD software and other design tools. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Contract Details: Duration: 9-12 months (outside IR35). Competitive contract rates, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
