The purpose of this role is to help maximise the capabilities of our database and improve the overall platform by developing and managing the data engineering stack. You will be responsible for the ingestion, storage, and development of data pipelines into our data platform.The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL, Python, Cloud (ideally AWS), knowledge of CICD and a passion for Data Bricks.This offers fantastic training and development with a chance to add real value.The day to day:Build and support our data products within our industry leading platformWork with product managers and data engineers to come up with technical solutions for our most pressing data problemsIntegrate data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and technical standardsCrafting frameworks and processes for data pipelines across the data and analytics platformImprove data engineering processes and roll these out across our team and wider data communitySetting coding standards across the platform, naming conventions across data products, championing and enforcing both.Working in a cross functional agile squad.Working with architects on best design for data products and evaluating and experimenting with new data toolsQualificationsYou are a good fit for the role if you have the following…Data systems design passionStrong interpersonal and collaborative skillsHands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) on AWSProficient in Python with expertise in data ecosystem, Airflow, and Great ExpectationsCICD implementation using Git, Jenkins, or similar toolsExpertise in Data Modelling (conceptualization to optimization) with advanced SQL and ideally DBTHands-on experience in batch and real-time data integration, including performance assessment and fine-tuningEngineering skills for acquiring, ingesting, cleansing, integrating, and structuring massive data volumes from multiple sourcesAgile cross-functional team experience.Additional InformationThis is your opportunity to shape our game-changing journey and be part of something truly special!
