Experienced Press Engineer Required! Our client is a well-established manufacturer with an unrivalled reputation within their sector. Based near Quinton, their manufacturing facility is equipped with unique capabilities, allowing them to produce a diverse range of components to exacting standards. They are currently seeking an experienced Press Engineer to join their existing team. As Press Engineer you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems integrated into their equipment. Key responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day operation of hydraulic systems. Conducting routine maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity and prevent downtime. Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues or malfunctions promptly to minimise disruptions to the manufacturing team. Employing troubleshooting techniques to identify root cause analysis of hydraulic system failures and develop effective solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise press reliability and enhance overall equipment efficiency. Providing engineering support across the site, assisting with various projects and initiatives as required. Qualifications: Proven experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems (both reactive and preventative), particularly within a manufacturing environment. Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic components, systems, and associated equipment. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hydraulic system issues using troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet production deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. You can expect to receive circa £15 - £16 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance) and hours of work will be working Monday to Thursday from 6am until 4pm. This position is based near Quinton and is easily commutable from Harborne, Cradley Heath, Halesowen, Frankley, Stourbridge, Romsley, Smethwick and Birmingham.
