Field IT Engineer in London

Job Role: Field IT Engineer Location: Cleethorpes Salary: £21,000 - £25,000 (DOE) Contract: Full-time, permanent Verus Recruitment is delighted to be working with an MSP looking for a Field IT Engineer to join their team to work closely with their clients. You'll play the main role in providing top-tier IT support to education providers within the area. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone with a couple of years of IT experience and wanting to broaden their knowledge. Key Role and Responsibilities: Evaluate incoming incidents and prioritize tasks based on timelines and procedures. Maintain accurate records in the incident monitoring system, ensuring consistent feedback to end users on fault and change progress. Investigate technical issues in support calls and escalate to the local technical team when needed. Manage spare IT stock, warranties, and software licenses following the asset register. Replace hardware within specified timescales to uphold service availability for malfunctioning devices. Coordinate equipment repairs under warranty terms for specific hardware. You will be expected to visit different sites and provide face-to-face support when required.

Qualifications/Experience: 2 years of IT work experience Solid understanding of PCs, Office 365, Active Directory, etc. Understanding of Switching and Servers Enthusiastic about developing technical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving Computer-based certification, such as CompTIA Network+, Security, Server, or similar Must possess a valid and clean driving license Willingness to undergo a DBS check Previous work experience within the Education Sector (desirable)
