Job description
The Supplier Relationship Manager will join a growing Framework Commercial team that will hold responsibility for all aspects of Construction, Civil and Pre-Construction.
Key accountability for the role will include procurement planning, supplier sourcing, risk mitigation, capacity protection, contract agreements, and final contract drafting.
The role requires an experienced construction procurement specialist, who is able to proactively identify sourcing plans to drive best practice sourcing and contract formulation.

Duties:
• Develop sourcing strategies & refresh regularly to reflect changing market conditions, business requirements & supplier constraints
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies
• Engage key stakeholders in decision
• Negotiate contracts in line with the Construction Framework
• Manage supplier contracts over contract life
• Conduct value engineering exercises with suppliers to ensure product cost targets are met or enhanced, and proactively identifying product/service improvement
• Proactively engage suppliers in service and product development
• Maintain supplier risk, mitigate & report to the Board
Experience ideally needed:
• Experience of developing category strategies using best practice tools & techniques
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Experience in negotiating complex issues and create innovative solutions
• Experience of Construction Contracts
• Supply relationships management experience within one of: construction, civil, house building, sub-contract and/or pre-fabrication
• VA/VE experience advantageous
Salary:
• £45,000 - £50,000 dependable on experience
• Car Allowance Pension, Holiday, Private Health + Benefits
• Permanent
• Hybrid Role - 4 days working from home - 1 day in the office in Yorkshire.
