Business Development Manager - Road Freight in Warrington

A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for a business developmentmanager - Field sales to win new business and sell their road freight services both import and export. The Freight Business Development Manager will cover the North West of England and North Wales (the role will offer a hybrid working model based in the office a little from home. ROLE: BDM - Road FreightLOCATION: top cover Manchester, the North West and north walesBASIC SALARY: £40k to £45k Plus sales commissionBENEFITS: Companycar, health cover, Company Pension Scheme, mobile phone, laptop, etc THE ROLE:. New Business Acquisition Build and maintain a sales pipeline in accordance with company guidelines Target and qualify a list of potential clients in the road freight import & export sectors Gain new business and target new trade lanes within client selection Arrange face to face client sales visits and close business Generate sales leads and act on them Establish strong relationships to customers as well as colleagues Engage with the road Freight management team to facilitate identification of opportunities and review target management plan continuously Drive business development reviews and to ensure that CRM is updated to the highest standards Monthly review of performance and action plan setting (where needed) Key requirements: Proven sales experience of in a multi-national freight forwarding company or 3pl Excellent knowledge of the road freight import & export market Ability to identify market leads and convert them into business opportunities Flexible and proactive approach Excellent stakeholder influencing skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to critically analyse information, present to the relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations Strong drive for results High degree of independence Commercial acumen Driving licence (travel will be required) JBRP1_UKTJ
