£45k - £55k Warrington - OnSite We are hiring an ambitious Project Engineer with BOM experience to join a thriving global team to manage engineering input to project delivery. The Role: As Project Engineer you will manage engineering input to project delivery, overseeing and coordinating the technical aspects of each engineering project. You will work with engineering teams, sales teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the project objectives are within budget, schedule, and quality constraints. As Project Engineer with BOM experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate creation and management of electrical bills of materials (BOMs) while possessing practical electrical knowledge focused on wiring and assembling electrical panels. You will collaborate closely with the sales team for project handover from award to delivery. Key Responsibilities: Overall project engineering & design responsibility for key client projects. Create and maintain detailed electrical bills of materials (BOMs) for various projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and standards. Weekly reporting to Directors on project status. Use CAD or Inventor to modify and amend engineering designs. Select appropriate electrical components and materials for panels, considering functionality, cost, availability, and compliance with regulations. Work closely with the procurement team and manufacturing technicians to resolve project or BOM-related issues, such as component substitutions, lead times, or cost optimization opportunities. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external partners regarding BOMs, panel wiring techniques, and electrical component selection. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related subject. Strong understanding of electrical principles, components, and systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with CAD or Inventor software and BOM management tools.
