If you are an engineer with experience in large scale systems design assurance, please read on I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Defence client who are recruiting for a Senior Systems Design Assurance Engineer in Glasgow, working on a hybrid arrangment. This role can also be based from Bristol or Portsmouth with visits to Glasgow. Key responsibilities: Supporting the Design Assurance Manager in the conduct of the various assurance activities that assess the design maturity of the product Managing design assurance mechanisms that provide data to the Chief Engineer and Technical Authorities, such as developing the associated review checklists and managing toolsets Supplying guidance and support to the wider engineering team to enable the successful conduct of key assurance processes Supporting with the progression of Zonal Review and Compartment Plan Approval processes, ensuring the design assurance strategy, design resilience and the integrity of the design is met Leading on the strategic development of processes, embodiment of 'Learning from Experience' and adaption of the assurance approach in response to emerging technical risk and evolving programme needs Maintaining a level of SQEP for the role through personal and professional development, including stakeholder relationships with counterparts on other Global Combat Systems programs Experience A background as a systems engineer with experience of design assurance across large scale systems, from industries such as aerospace & defence, oil & gas, petrochemicals etc is required to be successful in this role.
