Semperian Group are looking to recruit a CDM Manager, on a permanent basis. The role will based in Daresbury, and will report to the Director of Safety, Health, and the Environment. This role is a senior management responsibility position, accountable for positive construction safety and coordination culture in complex stakeholder environments across multiple sectors (healthcare, custodial, education, accommodation, highways, infrastructure). CDM Manager Responsibilities As CDM Manager you will be the focal point for CDM advice and guidance within the business. Work alongside the external Principal Designers and Client to plan, manage and monitor the pre-construction phase and coordinate matters relating to health and safety. Maintain a log of all Principal Designer/CDM(A) appointments across the business and carry out compliance sampling of all Principal Designer/CDM(A) outputs. As a CDM Manager you must take a compliance role in ensuring the appointed Principal Designer identifies and eliminates or controls (so far as is reasonably practicable) foreseeable risks to health or safety of any person carrying out or likely to be affected by construction works, maintaining or cleaning a structure or using a structure designed as a workplace. Where required you are to advise the Client on the provision of the pre-construction information required by the Principal Designer. You will take a compliance role in reviewing the Principal Designer/CDM(A) is liaising with the PC at regular intervals throughout the construction phase and progress the collation of information for the health and safety file.
