Senior Construction Manager | Major Capital Projects Working with the global leadership of an internationally renowned pharmaceutical company, ENG Bauen has been appointed to develop and strengthen its global construction management capabilities across 14 countries, including three sites in the UK.

As a result, we are looking for a senior construction manager to take up a position of influence within the client's global project delivery function, where you will be recognised as the construction management specialist in support of several large CAPEX projects.

This is an ideal role for a Construction Manager with a strong background in construction management and extensive experience in delivering large capital projects within the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Nuclear and Pharmaceutical sectors.

As the Senior Construction Manager, you will be directly accountable for overseeing the construction activities related to the project and be fully responsible for its overall success.

The Construction Manager must be able to coordinate with the site teams to organise, plan, motivate, coordinate and direct the construction effort, ensuring all activities are managed accordingly.

In this role, you will work closely with the Global Construction Director and other senior management within the project execution function. This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance consultant to work on large-scale capital projects with the chance to perform on a global scale.

This is a senior hire for our client in a highly regulated environment with the challenge of working on live sites, considering the need for minimum disruption, and completing projects safely and on time.

The successful candidate will come from a highly regulated area, have a comprehensive knowledge of all construction elements in this sector, and be able to act as the point of contact for the global projects group on-site and will be the go-to person for all construction-related issues.

In terms of progression, working for the global projects team will allow you to be involved in Capex in the UK and across the worldwide site network, overseeing multiple projects at differing points in the lifecycle.

This opportunity is offered on a long-term contract, initially based in the UK. Although this is being provided on a hybrid basis, there will be a need for the Construction Manager to be available at the site most of the time during critical stages of the projects.

The ideal person for the role: *Experience in large-scale construction in the Oil, Gas, Chemical, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Life Sciences sector *A degree or equivalent in relevant engineering or construction management is preferred. *Relevant field experience in a construction management position is required. *Must have held lead construction roles in capital projects greater than $50 MM and successfully delivered projects as the senior construction manager. *Minimum of 10 years experience associated with Project Management or Construction Management *Strong communication and leadership skills are required.
