can be based from one of our clients 12 offices Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE) + car allowance + excellent benefits package Sector: Property & Construction Carriera is excited to partner with an independent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy who are looking to develop their fire consultancy department with the addition of a Senior Fire Engineer. Our client is involved with a diverse mixture ofinteresting and unique projects throughout the UK, typical sectors that they work within include commercial, residential, sport, healthcare, education, transportation, retail, leisure, hotel, student accommodation, data centres, heritage and industrial. With such a variety of projects, they require an experienced fire engineer to join the team, flexible working will be available, and your time will be split between working from the office, home and project visits (our client has 12 offices across the UK and will consider candidates across England for the position). The role would suit an ambitious fire engineer with 3

5 years of experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a leading consultancy who are going through an impressive period of growth. Responsibilities: Delivery of fire consultancy services along with fire strategy and design reports. Excellent understanding of UK legislation, standards and guidance, such as Regulatory Reform (Fire & Safety) Order 2005; HM Government Fire Safety Risk Assessment Guides; The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999; Building Regulations

Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 7974. Attendance of internal & external design team meetings. Dealing with internal and external enquiries efficiently and professionally as a point of contact for the Fire Engineering Team. Generate fire safety audits and surveys. Mentor and provide technical fire safety advice to junior members of the team. Develop new and existing business relationships with developers, contractors, clients, designers and architects. About you: Degree in fire engineering, structural engineering or a similar engineering discipline. Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards this (desirable). 3 - 5 years as fire engineer working on projects across the built environment. Familiar with Passive and Active Fire Protection Systems. Membership to IFE - ideally at Member, Associate or Graduate level. Full UK Driving License.
