Job description
Our clients portfolio includes energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, asset sustainability and renewable energy solutions across the globe. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Senior Development Engineer that will be responsible for the development, construction and operation of renewable energy plants combined with tailored financial solutions.
Duties
The Senior Development Engineer will work closely with the development team assigned to each bid and be responsible for specific duties as follows:
Bid Development: Identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) at potential customer sites
Carry out energy audits and surveys
Prepare preliminary capital cost and energy savings models for each ECM
Attend regular client project meetings
Prepare the technical write up for inclusion in bid submission
Present technical solutions at bid meetings
High Level Appraisals:
Assessment of existing system configuration and operation at client sites.
Compilation and analysis of data
Conceptual design of energy related projects
Preliminary constructability assessment and project risk assessment
Prepare capital and operating cost budgets
Detailed energy savings calculations
Preparation of final report and presentation
Investment Grade Audits Further definition of solutions from High Level Appraisal stage including on-site assessments as necessary
Constructability assessment
Project risk assessment
Finalise solution selection
Prepare full equipment list with performance/sizing/selection for key energy equipment, all major pipework lines, pumps (including pressure capabilities), heat exchangers including definition of control philosophy
Prepare P & ID, layout and scheme drawings
Produce an outline work package for contractor to provide pricing and assess accordingly Develop savings calculations and pricing to +/- 10% for project capital approval
Qualifications
Engineering degree preferably in chemical, mechanical or electrical
Achieved or working towards chartered engineer status
Minimum of 5 years' experience of energy related or field engineer work for an Energy Services Business
Experience working on UK Public Sector Tender Frameworks including ReFiT, Essentia, CEF, SNDEE advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools Personal Attributes.
The job requires the willingness to travel across UK and Europe, while based in Central London
