Job description

This huge retailer has a unique opening within their Supply Chain and Logistics area where you can use your experience in Solution Design to continuously improve, design and deliver effective solutions meeting operational strategic objectives. This role is completely new and has come about due to growth of the company and function, therefore allowing you to shape it how you desire and come into the function with an open mind. LOCATION- Burton upon Trent (Hybrid- 2-3 times per week in the office) SALARY- Up to £70,000. BENEFITS-

Responsibilities of this Solution Design Manager include: Project Leadership:

Manage a team of WMS co-ordinators, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Design Oversight:

Provide oversight and review of solution designs, ensuring they meet quality standards, align with best practices, and adhere to architectural principles. Technical Leadership:

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to guide the team in making informed decisions during the design and implementation phases. Collaboration:

Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, developers, and other relevant teams, to gather requirements and ensure that the proposed solutions meet both business and technical needs. Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and challenges in proposed solutions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure that the solutions are resilient, scalable, and adaptable to changing business requirements. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

Work with project managers and leadership to allocate resources effectively, manage budgets, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints. Documentation:

Oversee the documentation of solution designs, ensuring that they are well-documented and can serve as a reference for development, testing, and maintenance teams. Quality Assurance:

Implement quality assurance processes to validate that the solutions meet the specified requirements and adhere to the established design principles.
