Electrical Design Engineer

on a permanent basis to join their team. Key Responsibilities Component and assembly design

from concept to production in an automotive environment using CAD Produce

circuit diagrams and schematics Produce designs to meet the agreed requirements to time and within hours specified Maintain accurate design records and maintain drawing issue control Use the

PDM system

to store and issue drawings Revise or amend existing designs

and drawings to meet new requirements Work with the Project Engineer and other team members to provide the best output Liaise with suppliers

to source new components Assess prototype components for correct fit and function Prepare documentation for design reviews Report writing and project information recording Vehicle testing using data logging and other instrumentation Undertake or provide any training that is necessary within your role Essential: CAD experience, preferably

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks Engineering draughting experience of

electrical schematics and looms Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office A good communication skill (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers Generally, computer literate and able to adapt to different software etc. Good report writing and project information recording Able to resolve basic computer problems with minimal help Minimum of HNC qualification

in Electrical Engineering Knowledge of Automotive electrics,

12v and 24v Proven experience working in a designer role Able to work on an informal basis with colleagues and communicate directly Able to work as part of a team Desirable: Experience in drawing issue control using

PDM Experience in a range of
